Pass Colors
You may see a variety of student pass colors. Below is a guide of how to interpret different pass colors.
Non-Athlete Students:
- RED passes: Students with red passes have indicated symptoms or a positive Covid-19 test. These students will receive guidance after they have submitted their daily symptom check to remain in their place of residence unless medical care is needed. If a student with a red pass enters your class or facility, please direct them to follow their Access Pass instructions, return to their residence, and any additional guidance as determined by your institution.
- YELLOW passes: Students with yellow passes have indicated that they have either been in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, but they are not experiencing symptoms. These students will receive guidance to go to the Health Center to be checked out. If a student with a yellow pass enters your class or facility, please direct them to follow their Access Pass instructions and any additional guidance as determined by your institution.
- GREEN passes: Students with green passes have full access to campus facilities, and have indicated no symptoms. When you see this pass, no additional action is needed!
- GRAY passes: Students with gray passes have not taken their daily symptom survey. Students' passes will reset to gray overnight. If a student with a gray pass enters your class or facility, please direct them to the text message they received to fill out their daily symptom survey.
Student-Athletes:
- RED passes (NAIA Score = 3): Students with red passes have indicated symptoms, a positive Covid-19 test, or that they have been in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19. These students will receive guidance after they have submitted their daily symptom check to remain in their place of residence unless medical care is needed. These students must be immediately removed from practice and/or competition and should be referred for additional care.
- YELLOW passes (NAIA Score = 2): Students with yellow passes have indicated they have a cough and/or muscle or body aches. These students will receive guidance to go to the Health Center to be checked out. These symptoms warrant further investigation by the healthcare team.
- GREEN passes (NAIA Score = 1 or 0): Students with green passes may have indicated they have symptoms that receive a score of “1” on the NAIA scale. Students with a score of 1 should be monitored regularly for changes in symptoms. Students with a green pass will be directed to have their temperature taken before practice.
- BLUE passes: Students with blue passes have had their temperature taken and have passed the temperature check with a temperature less than 100.4 degrees. Only student-athletes should have a blue pass, and a staff member must manually change a student’s pass to blue.
- GRAY passes: Students with gray passes have not taken their daily symptom survey. Students' passes will reset to gray overnight. If a student-athlete has a gray pass, please direct them to the text message they received to fill out their daily symptom survey.
