Whether a student has responded to a campaign message, or you just need to message an individual student, our messaging tool puts connecting with students right at your fingertips (literally!).
Great messaging begins with understanding the tools and restrictions in your arsenal, so keep reading to discover all messaging features, helpful tips, and parameters set for both parties.
Upon logging into school.fullmeasureed.com, you’ll immediately land on your inbox, where you’ll be able to review responses and message students. If they've responded to a campaign message, that original message will appear above their response.
When you visit the page for the first time, you’ll receive a pop-up to allow notifications, which you must do for your inbox to automatically refresh if you receive a new message while online, rather than doing so manually.
Beyond just sending a message, there are actions you can take on this page:
- Clicking on the student’s initials/avatar to view all student details on their profile (1).
- View the delivery status by hovering over the message. It will say 'created' if sent successfully in-app, and 'delivered' if sent via SMS (2).
- Toggle between direct and department messages, or view all in a single pane (3).
If managing student responses are split among multiple users, we recommend having templates created for anticipated replies, so that your team can offer consistent advice. Learn more about building campaigns from scratch.
You can control which staff members have the ability to send campaign message. If you need to add or adjust user permissions, let us know. Upon a student’s response, you can reply to each message individually.
You’ve got mail! You’ll get a notification each time a new message is received. You must log in to school.fullmeasureed.com the platform to reply, rather than directly to the email.
If you would like to enable email notifications for a department to your inbox, please create a ticket so we can configure this on your behalf.
To save your team time, we automatically account for several different opt-out phrases to mark students "do not text.” Every student receives an initial opt-out text that instructs them to reply "stop" to opt-out of a channel, or “stopall” to disable messages from all channels.
We’ve programmed a medley of ‘alternative stops’ from students such as ‘stop!’ ‘unsubscribe’ and ‘stop texting me,’ to trigger the same opt-out for the students that request it.
Once received, you will not be able to message that student, although others can message them in separate channels.
To add new opt-out phrases on school.fullmeasureed.com for all students to use for your institution, click on the "help" icon, select "leave us a message," and under “how can we help you,” then specify which messages you’d like opted-out. We’ll let you know when it’s configured!
You can also you can toggle “stop all text messages” on each students’ profile to manually stop all messaging across the institution. This cannot be undone unless you let us know to fix it on our end.
There are a few reasons why messages may not deliver successfully, or get marked as spam, including:
- Sending messages to many recipients a day
- Repeatedly blasting students with few responses
- A student has opted-out of messaging
- The phone number that you're messaging is a landline
Unfortunately, carriers do not always indicate exactly why messages get spammed by carriers/service providers, so there isn’t a science to best practices. If you find your number is being heavily filtered, we can create a new number for you.
We will also create a script so that if any students text the old number, they will automatically receive a message from the new number when the advisor goes to text them again.
Have a question? Let us know by submitting a ticket, and we will follow up with you as quickly as possible.
