Question: Is it possible for the system to create duplicate messages?
Answer: In short, no. However, there are certain scenarios that exist where it can appear like the system is sending multiple messages at once.
We have logic in place to stop the same exact message from going out from a user within a minute. This protects our system from queuing up multiple messages and sending them out sequentially. What this doesn't prevent is the same message going out from different sources at the same time.
For example, if you had the same message configured across different campaigns for the same audience, it's possible the student would receive those messages at the same time.
There are several reliable ways to make sure this won't happen to your students.
- Ensure none of your messages across your drip campaigns are exactly the same
- Double check each campaign configuration so that they don't have matching audiences
- This especially applies to drip campaigns. Make sure you don't use the "base audience" in any of your drips, always use the audiences appended with days
- Try and mix up the hours that students will receive your communications. Don't set every campaign in a drip to go out at 3pm
The good news is we have rules in our system to stop any message spasms to spam a student's phone. However, we give you, the end user, a lot of leeway with the system, so please double check any communications that you set up to avoid the above scenario.
