Tester Students
You can add tester students in the Full Measure platform from the side menu. The point of using tester students is to-
- Make sure you can see how your message looks before it sends out
- Good way to test links and html
- Can receive all message types, regardless of in app or force send SMS
- Receive messages outside of your unique student account
If you open up the side menu, there is a link called "Add Tester Students". Click on that to get started.
You can see all the existing tester students listed on this page. Click on the yellow fab in the bottom right corner to add new tester students. This will open up a form for you to fill out with your tester student information.
IMPORTANT NOTE: your tester student email must be unique. You cannot use the same email as an existing student OR that you use in your profile or username to log into school.fullmeasureed.com. The best way around this is to make an alias-you can create an alias for any gmail by adding "+" before the @ symbol (i.e. emily+1@fullmeasureed.com or emily+windsor@fullmeasureed.com). If you don't have a gmail, we recommend using your personal email. You won't receive any test emails, so it doesn't need to work. It just needs to be unique.
Click save to establish a new tester student. After you create a tester student, you can edit or delete this student from the list. When you are ready to use this student, navigate over to your campaigns page. Click on the campaign in the list that you would like to test. Click on the three dots to click "Test Now". After you do so, there will be a form that pops up where you can select your tester student from the dropdown.
When you select your tester student, click "send" to test your message. If you've never received a message before from that channel as that student, the first time you go to test you will likely receive the opt out message. That does not mean that all of your recipients will receive an opt out message, they will only receive one when it applies to them. Check out this article to learn when students receive the opt out.
You can use this tester student as many times as you like to test all of your campaign content. However, you can only test each campaign one time. If you make changes to your campaign, you won't be able to test it again. We recommend carefully reading the previews and then sending your test message as a confirmation.
We've attached a pdf with more screenshots if you'd like more visuals.
