Ever see a message from a guest student that looks spammy or inappropriate? First of all, we're sorry you had to read that. Second, and more importantly, there is no reason to worry that these messages could also go out to your students in a way that would be associated with your institution.
The SPAM is coming from a number completely outside of the FM platform. We are not able to stop these messages from reaching your account, but you can report them with the hope that they get blocked going forward.
We recommend having all users that receive a SPAM message text back "STOP" so they can opt-out of those messages. If the problem persists, you can report the number to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in one of two ways:
- Text 7726 (SPAM) from your personal phone and respond to the prompt with the offending number
- Submit a complaint directly on the FTC website
Students would never receive spam from a Full Measure number. They are most likely receiving SPAM messages from other sources, as we all do occasionally, but that is completely external to the FM platform.
For more information about SPAM text messages, please visit the FTC website.
