Tasks basics
A task is intended to be a mobile reminder for your students to complete something that is outstanding, such as a checklist item. These are always based on audiences. When the student is no longer in the audience, the task will go away in their mobile view. Tasks are best viewed with rich html content, describing to the student what it is they need to accomplish. To create a task, click the yellow fab button in upper right hand corner on the task page.
Creating a task
First you'll want to name your task. This is purely internal, more to let other members of your team know what the task is for. Tasks, like campaigns, are audience based and will only appear to a student when the student is actively in that audience. You can set a start and an end date in case the student doesn't exit the audience, but the task is no longer relevant. The last piece is the html content which is how the student will see the task. We have templates to get you started if you need! Submit a ticket or get in touch with your account manager if you need assistance.
When you're all set with your html, please click save. You can view your task on the full list of tasks. Click on the task to see the preview. When you're ready to host this content in the mobile app, click publish.
Viewing tasks in mobile
Students will receive a push notification when their task is available to view. The clipboard icon appears where they can learn more about the task.
Tapping on the clipboard will take them to all open tasks.
They can mark tasks as done, which is purely self reporting: this will not take them out of the audience until they complete the task and move along in the funnel.
Attached is a presentation with more screenshots in case you need more context!
