Sometimes there are browser issues that make it seem like something is broken in the product. Ever hear someone say “Did you try turning it off and back on again?” That advice still applies to newer technology! Things can get in a bad state in the browser and sometimes they just need to be reset. Before you submit a ticket because something looks broken, try these steps first. If none of them fix your problem, submit a ticket.
First thing’s first! Make sure you are in a Chrome browser. Our system is optimized to work in Chrome. Next, try to log out and log back in again. This is a pretty basic one, but can be very effective for resetting your session. The commands below will do a hard reset to clear the cache. You could need this in case we released a feature in the meantime, but it hasn't loaded yet on your machine.
- Mac: cmmd+shift+R
- Windows: ctrl+shift+R
You can always quit Chrome entirely and start a new session.
Try using an incognito window. An incognito window is like clearing your cookies and cache, without having to do that in your regular browser session. That would clear some of your saved passwords, so it’s not everyone’s favorite activity
- Mac: cmmd+shift+N
- Windows: ctrl+shift+N
Log back in and navigate to the page you were on to see if your session has updated. If you’re already incognito, you can’t just open a new window to create a new session. You need to close out ALL INCOGNITO windows to start a new session. Toggle through all of your Chrome windows to make sure you have no other incognito windows open and then create a new session.
