There are several ways to mark an end user as "do not text." We have listed all of our do not text phrases in this article. When the student texts in one of these phrases, our system will flag them as not textable for that channel. You will see when you go to message that student again that you cannot text them in that channel, although others can message them in separate channels.
There is also a toggle that you can enable to manually mark a student as "stop all text messages" if they indicate they would not like to receive messages from anyone in the system. You cannot turn this toggle back off in the interface. If you have accidentally toggled it on for a student, please submit a Zendesk ticket and we can revert it for you.
They can also text back "stopall" to disable messages coming from all channels. These two ways will make them not textable from the entire institution. This toggle will also be on if they are marked do not text via our integration.
If a student replies stop or other stop phrases in in-app messaging, that does not opt the student out of in-app messages.
