Full Measure automatically accounts for several different opt-out phrases to mark students as "do not text", so your institution does not need to manually do so on all occasions.
If a student texts back "stop" to a message, they will be opted out only of that channel. Meaning, they will no longer receive messages from this campaign instance.
If a student texts back "stopall", they will be opted out of all text messages across the whole institution.
Lastly, we have also accounted for various variations of an opt-out message. Even though there is always an initial opt-out text to tell students to reply "stop" to opt-out, sometimes they like to be a bit more colorful in their request to no longer be contacted by SMS. We've subbed in different characters to soften the expletives below for all of our automatic opt-out phrases. Apologies for their brashness, but want you to be aware of exactly what will mark a student do not text.

It is important that the student send exactly the message listed above. For example, "stop" would opt a student out but "stopppppp" would not. If the student would like to opt back into messaging, they should text back "start". If you notice a student has sent a variation of a "stop" message not listed above and you'd like to have them marked as opt-out, please submit a ticket at support.fullmeasureed.com.
Manually Opting Students Out
You can opt them out of all messages by turning on the "stop all text messages" toggle on the student's page, or if they come across the integration as "do not text".
If you opt students out manually by clicking on the do not text toggle, this will opt them out of all messages across the institution. However, be careful. You cannot turn off the "stop all text messages" toggle to opt a student back into texting.
