Full Measure automatically accounts for several different opt out phrases to mark students "do not text", so you and your team do not need to manually do so on all occasions. Even though there is always an initial opt out text to tell students that they can reply "stop" to opt out, sometimes they like to be a bit more colorful in their request to no longer by contacted by SMS. If a student texts back "stop" to a message, they will be opted out only of that channel. You can opt them out of all messages by turning the "stop all text messages" toggle on on the student's page, or if they come across the integration as "do not text". If a student texts back "stopall", they will be opted out of all text messages across the whole institution. We've subbed in different characters to soften the expletives. Apologies for their brashness, but want you to be aware of all of the automatic phrases.
'stop', 'stop!', 'stop.', 'unsubscribe', 'cancel', 'edit', 'end', 'quit', 'f***', 'f*** off', 'go away', 'please stop texting me', 'stop texting me', 'please remove my number'
It is important that the student send exactly the message listed above. For example, "stop" would opt a student out but "stopppppp" would not. If the student would like to opt back into messaging, they should text back "start".
If you opt students out manually by clicking on the do not text toggle, this will opt them out of all messages across the institution.
