How to use Paperform
Creating a New Form
- To create a new form, click on “Create Form” on the upper right hand side of the main page
- You can start from scratch or use a template, but starting from scratch is often easier.
Configuring Your Form
- If you’d like to edit the front of your form, select “Details” under “Configure”
- Here, you can change the name of your form, select a description, choose a cover image, and create your own personalized URL
Adding New Questions
- To add a new question, go into “Design” and then click the clipboard icon that says “add questions”
- After typing in your question in the text box, you can choose which type of question you’d like from the dropdown menu to the right of the question
- You can add a header above your form or change the font/style of your question
Editing Your Questions
- To add options to your question, click the gear (labelled "Configure") to the right of your question
- Here you can add options, choose if your question is required, allow for users to choose more than one option, add images, and allow to “Other” responses
- Question visibility logic allows for follow-up responses that are visible only when conditions are met
- You can create a follow-up question, then toggle Question Visibility Logic to specify your conditions
- In this instance, “which sports are you interested in” shows up only if the user answers “yes” OR “I’m not sure” to the first question
Editing Your Form
- To change the colors of your form, select the raindrop button on the top right corner that says “Theme”
- Click on “Active Color”, then paste the code of the color you’d like your question to be in the Hex box
To see what your question looks like, click on the eye icon labelled “View” on the top right corner
After Submission
- If you’d like an email to be sent to users after they fill out the form, go to “After Submission” and select “emails”
- If one of your questions asks the user for an email, then in the “to” field, you can select that response by clicking the + symbol
- If you’d like to be notified each time the form is filled out, then you can enter your own email address
- You can select “email logic” if you’d like to only send an email to users with particular responses- this works the same way as Question Visibility Logic
